- For a small quadcopter, try to install the module at the drone's center of gravity (where the four motor arms cross).
Charging
Pull out the dustproof rubber plug and connect the Type-C cable to a USB charger (5V/0.5A or above) or a power bank to charge.

This product does not include a USB charger. Please use a charger that complies with FCC/CE standards.
- Charging while powered off: LED 1 is solid yellow and LED 2–LED 4 flash white in sequence. When fully charged, all LEDs turn off.

Power On / Off & Battery Level
- Long press the power button for 2 seconds until all the LEDs turn on or off, then release to power the device on or off.
- When the device is powered on, LED 1 shows the current device status while LED 2–LED 4 indicate the battery level:
| Battery level | LED 1 | LED 2 | LED 3 | LED 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75%–100% | — | On | On | On |
| 50%–75% | — | On | On | Off |

When LED 1 flashes red slowly, the battery is extremely low and needs to be charged as soon as possible. When LED 1 is solid red, the device is malfunctioning — please contact after-sales service for support.
How to Use
Install the RID-916 — already written with the required information — on the drone (see the installation precautions above).
Long press the power button for 2 seconds until all the LEDs are on, then release to power on the RID-916.
After powering on, the device automatically starts satellite search with LED 1 flashing green slowly. When LED 1 stays green, the RID-916 has finished satellite search and starts broadcasting.
Short press the power button to refresh the takeoff point — LED 1 flashes cyan slowly. When LED 1 stays green, the takeoff point has been refreshed successfully and the drone is ready to fly.
Use the RID-916 outdoors with the logo side facing the sky. It broadcasts the drone's ID, location and altitude, velocity, time mark, and takeoff location and elevation.
